Paul Chang, MD

Dr. Paul Chang was born and raised in Southern California. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of California, Irvine. After residency, Dr. Chang completed an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship at Loma Linda University. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Pain Medicine.


Dr. Chang is skilled in treating patients with all types of injuries including back, neck, nerve, joints, and musculoskeletal disorders. He is proficient in performing minimally invasive spinal surgeries,
fluoroscopic guided spinal injections, ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections, regenerative medicine with PRP/stem cell, discography, radiofrequency ablation of nerves/veins, spasticity management, and electrodiagnostic testing.


Dr. Chang welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Vincent Galan, MD

Dr. Vincent Galan has practiced in the Atlanta area since 1988. In addition to being Director of its Anesthesia Department, he held the distinguished position of Director of Pain Center at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia from 1990 until 2008. In 2008 he founded his own practice, Pain Care, with the mission of providing every patient with exceptional service that includes a cost-effective, comprehensive, and ethical pain management program. Dr. Galan has the goal of exceeding the expectations of not only the injured patient, but also that of their referring physician.

Akshay Garg, MD

Dr. Akshay Garg is a board certified, fellowship trained, Interventional Pain Medicine physician skilled in the management of a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal pain of the back, neck, and joints, neuropathic disorders, and cancer-related pain. He is adept in utilizing both fluoroscopy and ultrasound image guidance to safely and effectively perform a variety of advanced interventions, including spine and joint injections, radiofrequency ablations, and neuromodulation. His goals are to provide compassionate care to optimize pain control, enhance physical function and psychological well-being, and improve his patient’s overall quality of life.

Dr. Garg is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).

Carl Pulido, MD

Dr. Carl Pulido, a double board-certied pain physician, joined Pain Care in 2017 with more than fifteen years of combined experience in the practice of Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management.

Dr. Pulido enjoys the opportunity of helping patients facing challenging conditions such as chronic low back and neck pain, joint dysfunction, severe headaches and multiple chronic pain syndromes using a comprehensive and compassionate approach using a combination of advanced minimally invasive interventional techniques and safe, responsible evidence based medication management.

He is also skilled in the use of cutting edge neuromodulation techniques for the treatment of neuropathies and complex regional pain syndrome. Dr. Pulido welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Mitchell Donner, MD

Dr. Mitchell Donner joined Pain Care in 2017. He is a Harvard-trained, anesthesiologist and fellowship trained interventional pain management specialist.

He is a Georgia native that grew up in Conyers, GA and attended Georgia Tech majoring in biomedical engineering. He then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and completed an internship at Emory University before venturing out to undergo his formal medical training at two of the nation’s top hospitals.

He completed a residency in anesthesiology in Boston through the prestigious Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital. His desire to help patients suffering from chronic pain then led him to complete a pain management fellowship in Los Angeles at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Donner is board certified in both anesthesia and pain management.
